LAN Finished
Yep, it's over, and i've been a slacker in the updating-and-doing-pictures-and-stuff department. But, I have finally
gotten around to getting the pictures all up and stuff. Head on over to the pictures area, or click on this fancy-schmancy link for a nifty
slide show.

Just would like everyone to know that Titan Networks out of Edmonton, Alberta has been
gracious enough to loan us some networking gear for the LAN party this year. They are
also having a draw prize for a free uber PC, so click on the image to go sign up!

Lan Finished!!
Well, this concludes another successful event, and first and foremost, I would like to thank everyone that came out and gamed, and those that
came out to help, and those that sacrificed a lot of sleep to even make it out amidst other commitments.
I had a great time, and I'm sure everyone else did as well. It's always a blast helping to organize an event of this magnitude, and it makes
me feel all warm and fuzzy inside watching everyone else have as much fun as we all had there.
And, to help everyone remember this event, and the good times, be sure to check out the pictures that were taken over at the pictures page. Hey, we even got a short .mpg movie clip there too!
So, once again, thanks everyone for coming out, and those that took pictures, I will get them linked shortly.

The Pics are here!!
Yep, with a little bit of hard work, and a little bit of boredom, and a lil cheap HP scanner from London Drugs, I
went nuts and finally got around to posting them on the web page. Take a peek, then go ahead
and complain about your nasty bed-head in the LAN Forums.

Yup, its all over folks. The second annual IMGaming.com LAN Party is officially over, well, like a month ago
anyway. ;)
We had a lot of fun, had some neat-o tourneys (hehe, gotta love the ol' knife battles), and played a few movies
(mmmm... Orgazmo....), bitch-boy Thinko made some great burgers :) and ahem... the Red Deer Advocate even came out!
I know I said this last year, but I would really like to do another one, maybe during the holidays or something this
winter.
Again, we would like to thank Skywings Aviation for renting us the hanger, and Geek Computers for the Prizes, and last
but not least, Internet Maximum for organizing the event (ah.... that feels good, a little lower... yeah.. thats
right...) Uhh... ahem,.. yeah, ok, thanks all for coming out, and hope to see you all again!
Stay tuned for pics!

Just a few quick notes for the LAN Party this next weekend!
If you need a ride, please check the LAN Party forums to see if you can arrange one. As far
as I know, there will be a group leaving Calgary from the South end, near Chinook Mall.
If you want to bring your nice office chair, sure! If you want to bring extra computers or digital cameras, great!
Note that we are going to be selling Network Cards (10/100 of course!) as well as a minimum of 25 foot Network Cable for a
measly $5 so you can take it home and use if for your own lan, or whatever.
There is a possibility that we will have a fridge at the hanger to keep all the drinks/pizza pops, etc cool :)
If you have any more questions or comments, don't be a stranger, hop on into our forums or in our IRC channel at irc.imgaming.com #imgaming.

Well folks, the time has come! After talking with Skywings this past week, it was decided that the same
time in August would be an excellent date to run the lan party for the second year in a row! The event will
start on Friday afternoon the 17th and go til about 18:00 on sunday the 19th.
We are anticipating an even better event than last year, with new items on the agenda, as well, continue the
past excitement that was had by the over 30 participants we had in 2000.
We are hoping everyone that came last year can make it out again this year, as well, even bring an extra friend
or two this time. By tonight, at least the registration should be set up so you can get signed up and ready to
roll. All other details will be listed on imgaming.com as well.
If you have any comments, questions or suggestions, please feel free to stop by our forums so we can
answer you there.

Well, after talking to several people, the need for another lan party is a must!!
It will seem that in the spring would be the next best time to do it... i just need a location, then we can start the organizaton.
I attended a lan party in Calgary this past weekend on the 14th of October, it was fairly good, minus a few issues which we had basically no problems
with note: POWER, NETWORK! :)
Hopefully our next one will go as smooth as before and ceown doesn't bring his damn win2k server box again! :)

Our very first LAN Party is now over, and we would like to thank
everyone for coming out and also a special thanks to Sky Wings for
their generosity in being excellent hosts and renting us the hanger
AND donating 4 door prizes to lucky participants.
Xpressnet was so kind
as to be able to lend us some Alcatel 24 port 10/100 switches for
use to get our network all set up and running over 1000 feet of network
cable on demand for all the LAN Party particiapnts.
And a note from Fydo:
Editors Note: I Sure hope none of those CDs are illegal...
